LCLC has been supporting LHF for at least five years. Pastor Matt Heise, their executive director, has spoken at LCLC when we supported him as a missionary in Russia/Georgia and on behalf of LHF.

Lutheran Heritage Fund...

In more than 80 countries and 100 languages, thousands of people have come to faith in Christ because they’ve been able to read books like The Good News About Jesus or Luther’s Small Catechism in their own languages.

LHF has published the catechism in more than 90 languages with dozens more requested. In the past decade, LHF has published and distributed over 1,000 titles and 3 million Lutheran books to pastors, seminary students, missionaries and churches – all at no cost to them.

Over 1149 publications ... by 203 authors ... in 120 languages, with many more in progress.

LHF History

...

  • LHF was organized on Nov. 10, 1992 by Rev. Dr. Robert Rahn.

  • LHF is directed by a 15-member board made up of pastors, teachers and lay people of the LCMS.

  • LHF engages more than 300 individuals around the world who serve as translators, reviewers, editors, general linguists and theological specialists in order to provide the most accurate translations possible.

  • LHF has published over 3 million Lutheran books, which are distributed freely to missionaries, churches and individuals.

  • LHF became a Recognized Service Organization within the LCMS in 1998.
