Blue Christmas, or the longest night, is a brief service of readings and silence enhanced by special music and candlelight.

The service is designed to minister to people suffering, with pain, loss, isolation, grief in the upcoming holiday season.

On this evening we remember those of us for whom the holidays are not joyful.  We may be lonely, in mourning, feeling alienated and disconnected from family and friends.

The purpose of this special time is to provide a safe place for the struggles that you may face during this time of the year.  It acknowledges our losses and affirms us in the grieving process.

We pray that through this time of meditation you will feel the love and support of your church family and the grace and compassion of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
