School House

Activity

Monday, 11/23, Aria, Lauryn and Jillian made another dinner for their families.  Ms. Kim helped us make crab quesadillas (one chicken version) and homemade vanilla pudding.

Madelyn sharing her music (recorder) at The Schoolhouse

A couple of weeks ago each student was challenged with inventing something.  They were given an end-user, a resource it had to use and a task it had to accomplish.  They sketched their inventions and then told the other students about it.

Then on Wed, 11/18, they used recyclable materials and a tub full of things from Ms. Michele’s storeroom to build their invention. Here is Jonan with his solar powered phone (family, sun, communication); Madelyn with her trash collector (doctor, gravity, trash pick up); and Lauryn with her watering system (teacher, water, grow food).  Aria is still working on hers!  It was fun to see their creativity at work!!  Duct Tape was the number one material in demand!

On Wed, 11/11, we went to the park on Westfield to play for a while.  Jackie, Lauryn and Aria enjoyed the sunshine after a rainy day!  Then Lauryn and Ms. Michele worked on a kinetic sand rainbow.

November 4 -

We worked together to do a puzzle this morning.  Then had Music with Ms Christa.  Lauryn and Aria shared their piano with us.

On Monday, 10/19, Jillian, Lauryn and Aria cooked dinner for their families!  They were lead by Kim, a member of Living Christ.

They made Beef and Pasta casserole and homemade biscuits.

There was much excitement and pride as they walked out the door with their dinner!
Thanks Ms. Kim for helping us!

Each Wednesday we have Music with Ms. Christa.  We have been learning about rhythm and playing at the same rhythms. This is our latest effort!!

Music class with Ms. Christa included sharing from Lauryn and Aria, who both play the piano, and all of us learning the hand chimes.  We played several songs... here is the video of one of those!
